Beautiful 1955 Fender Stratocaster in great condition – the second year of the Stratocaster! This beauty still has the bakelite pickup covers and knobs (currently there are replacement knobs installed but 2 original knobs come with the guitar – one is missing). That neck has that typical 55ish round and full shape no too big, just right. Nice lightweight ash body with beautiful grain, those early Strats are simply something special. The neck has been professionally refretted, on the headstock is a filled hole from a second string tree once added. The bridge pickup had a short and we had it repaired by Andreas Kloppmann in Germany. They really did all the magic and took a few windings off until they found the broken wire, repaired the broken wire and wound the original wire back on the pickup. It’s like 95% original – as good as it gets. The process has been documented! Incl. original Fender tweed case.
