Super clean 1995 Gibson Citation. Incredible piece of art…The Gibson Citations are rare hand-built archtop guitars that were only available in lowest numbers since they were built by only one or two people in the factory in Nashville. Serial number 1995003 – the 3rd one they made in 1995. Gibson has been known for producing the world’s finest archtop guitars ever since founder Orville Gibson invented the format way back in the 1890s. In 1969, the company decided to celebrate its artistry in the best way it knew how: by making the most elegant, finely crafted archtop guitar conceivable. Dubbed the Citation, and only created in extremely limited numbers, this model became an instant collector’s item, and has remained one throughout its sporadic production runs. This guitar is almost mint, it was never played live, maybe only a few chords here and there but mostly spent it’s life in a collection. Wonderful collector’s piece also a great sounding top-of-the-line Gibson Archtop guitar. The case is a TKL case thats similar to the guitars original case.
