1968 Gibson Les Paul Standard
Goldtop

Art.Nr. Gi68LpGt#514110

It’s been a while and we’re really happy to have this one in the shop – real deal 1968 Les Paul Standard. No early 1969 or 68/69 – a real 68 – small headstock, “flower cavity”, i-dot logo, long neck tenon, deep top carve, one-piece/body and neck and 67 pot code Les Paul. Chunky round neck, perfect shape, super nice weight with just above 4kg. Sounds as good as they get, good 68s are hot, they scream and simply rock. The guitar once had Schaller tuners but the original tuners are back on. There are two small cracks going from the tuner screw holes a little bit down on the neck/headstock sides maybe from widening the holes but they are stable. The back of the neck shows some typical wear. The stoptail is a later lightweight replacement as well as the jack plate. Everything else is original, we have one black bobbin and one clear bobbin P90, original pots, Pat No. bridge with nylon saddles, original pickguard with the roller marks and a wonderful Goldtop finish. This is an amazing Les Paul, they still have a lot of potential as future investment since there are so few made with these features. As close as you can get to a 55-57 P90 Les Paul. Comes in original square case with yellow plush.
