1968 Fender Stratocaster
Sunburst
Art.Nr. Vi68FeStr3tSB221095
Sometimes when you open a guitar case the first time you know that the guitar sounds exceptionally good. This 1968 Strat was a family owned guitar since 1968 when it was purchased new in Belgium and it was played and loved for ever since. And this is clearly visible. While the electronic never has been touched the body clearly shows wear from excessive playing and somehow this transformed into the body and makes the guitar just amazing! All three pickups are dated 1968, the pot codes are 137.66.18, the neck is dated 22OCT68B. The pickups are very well balanced and read 5,61K(B), 5,52K(M) and 5,44K(N). The guitar obviously has been refretted with jumbo frets. The steel block of the tremolo has a broken thread from a former broken tremolo arm fix but the current arm works well. The weight is 3,4kg. A very fat sounding guitar, really beefy and strong tone! We didn’t use the word “mojo” in this description yet because it’s “over-used” when it comes to vintage guitars but this guitar could be it’s definition in a dictionary. The guitar comes in an original export case with sticker that show some of the guitars history.
