Very early 1968 Fender Jazz Bass in Sunburst, originally sold as a 100% 1967 but the body stamp shows 3rd week of 1968 – although the neck is dated to 52th week of 1967 and the actual date stamp says November 1967 making this a textbook transition-period instrument. Both pickups carry matching 1967 pencil dates and the bass retains its original hardware and electronics. The finish shows normal playing wear but remains very attractive. There is a mark from the thumb resting on the finish for decades. Feel great since the shape is a very natural spot to rest your thumb in future. A particularly interesting 1967 made and early 1968 shipped Jazz Bass with a convincing and well-documented date pattern. Comes in its original case.
