1966 Fender Stratocaster
Lake Placid Blue
Art.Nr. FE66STRATLPB-117066
Some guitars are special. And this one is just amazing! It’s NOT a Custom Shop. It’s an original 1966 Fender Stratocaster in original custom color Lake Placid Blue. The wear is real people. Mostly when we all look at those heavy/superheavy/ultimate relic guitars we hardly remember any vintage original that looks worn and abused like that. Well, here you go. This guitar has stories to tell. We brought it over from the Philadelphia Guitar Show – our most exciting find. Surprisingly it remained in almost original condition, of course it has an added 5-way switch and the middle pickup has been rewound. The fretboard has seen some fret jobs and almost has a 12″ radius now and the last two inlays are gone. The backplate is missing – thats it. Otherwise it’s bone stock original. The finish is so cool – it shows all layers of yellow stain, white undercoat, metallic blue finish and yellowed clear coat – in all variants. A true survivor and a piece of art on its own. How does it sound? If a guitar shows all this natural wear chances are high it’s amazing. It is! What a guitar! Comes incl. original case and bridge cover.
