1964 Fender Jazzmaster – Lake Placid Blue
Andy Tielman
Art.Nr. FE64JMLPBL29191
A very special guitar: 1964 Fender Jazzmaster in Lake Placid Blue over Blue finish! The guitar is finished in original custom color Lake Placid Blue over (probably Daphne) Blue. Its supposed to have been owned by Andy Tielman of famous Indo-Rock group Tielman Brothers who was responsible for countless 10-string modded Jazzmaster in Europe done in the 60s. There are pictures showing him with a Lake Placid Blue Jazzmaster and we found the word “Andy” written on the back od the tremolo plate. The headstock has been heavily modified with 4 added tuners – the typical “Tielman-Mod”. Some soldering has been done and some tape has been added to fix wiring and holding the shielding plate in place – other than that and a few touched-up spots it remains in original condition. A pre-CBS greenguard custom color Jazzmaster! The pickups have grey bobbins and are dated May 1964, the neck is even a January 1964 model – so its an early Lake Placid Blue finished guitar in clean condition. The guitar has some minor touch ups but otherwise its still nice bright Blue. We left the tuners as they were – its part of the guitars history and it would be wrong to “restore” it in our opinion. Comes in flightcase and including the original 10-string nut!
