All original 1963 Gibson Barney Kessel Custom in excellent condition. One of 43 made in 1963! Being a 1963 model it still has one original PAF in the bridge position and a Patent No. decal pickup (same pickup, other decal) in the neck position. Amazing archtop with spruce top and figured maple back and sides. The neck is a Super-400 style 2-piece maple neck with mahogany stripe and the large headstock as opposed to the mahogany neck of the “Regular” model. The Custom model also features special appointments, such as gold hardware, Grover tuners, ABR-1 bridge, the bow-tie fretboard inlays, the special quaver note headstock inlay and bound f-holes. A true masterpiece and top-of-the-line archtop guitar. Great player and great addition for every Gibson collection! Comes in it’s original black case.
