1963 Fender Stratocaster
Sunburst
Art.Nr. FE63STRAT-L01036
For many players and collectors, the 1963 Stratocaster represents the pinnacle of vintage Fender craftsmanship. This example from early/mid-1963 showcases all the hallmark features that make this year so sought after: relatively beefy necks with a full yet comfortable profile, the pre-CBS “spaghetti” Fender logo, green nitrate pickguard, and classic black-bottom pickups delivering that unmistakable Texas blues tone.
By early 1964, Fender began phasing in changes — body date dates were discontinued, later on pickups switched to grey bottoms, the iconic spaghetti logo gave way to the transitional logo, and pearl dot inlays replaced the clay dots. This guitar predates those shifts, making it a prime example of “the year” many consider the Strat’s finest.
This Strat is all original except for some solder work on the pots. It comes complete with its original brown Tolex case, rounding out a truly collectible piece that not only looks the part but absolutely sings.
