1959 Fender Stratocaster
Sunburst
Art.Nr. FE59STRAT34540
Super clean 1959 Stratocaster in excellent/exc+ condition. It’s a quite interesting period in the Strat’s history since Fender only built this version – maple neck with 3-tone Sunburst finish – for a little over one year from early/mid 58 – mid 59. This is a great example for that era. Depp rich 3-tone Sunburst finish as opposed to the earlier 2-tone Sunburst. One of the last Strats before they switched to the rosewood fretboard in mid-1959. The neck of these modesl were all round without the earlier V-shape. More of a C with enough meat without being too big. The guitar has been played just a bit, there is the typical “country chord wear”, some belt buckle wear on the back and some worn lacquer you almost only see in UV light. The former owner added a ground wire between the pots and the switch. We kept it this way. No solder joint was touched for this work anyway. If you are looking for a 50s Strat thats in collectors grade condition but still well under 40K – don’t look no further! Comes incl. it’s original tweed case with yellow plush.
