1954 Fender Telecaster
Blond (early white guard super flamed neck!)
Art.Nr. FE54TELEBLD4037
This is a special one! Super early “Whiteguard” May/June 1954 Fender Telecaster serial 4037. Maybe one of the first Whiteguards? Once purchased from the original owner who etched his social security number on the back bottom body edge. This guitar has the most mesmerizing 3D flame maple neck we have ever seen on a Fender guitar from the 50s. It’s tiger stripe on one side and 3D tilted/birds-eye on the other side. If you catch the right angle, the figure of the grain goes both ways in a very hypnotic way. The guitar is 100% original and clean. Maybe it was a summer NAMM show guitar 1954 to present the new whiteguard Tele? It predates the last blackguards by 2 months and shipped in 3rd or 4th week of July 1954. It a transitional model already with steel saddles but serial number on the bridge – and also that see through butterscotch Blackguard finish. The original poodle (!) case is as clean as the guitar. The ashtray and strap are great bonuses. Beautiful light butterscotch finish. Includes original case, ashtray cover, strap. It is featured in it’s own chapter of Nacho Baños The Pinecaster book.
