The Black Widow – the most evil Les Paul we’ve had. Custom ordered to our own specs. The goal was clear – to make it as dark as possible without losing the beautiful appearance of a Les Paul Custom. The “Widow” finishes are basically tinted clear coat that covers the binding. This guitar was ordered without inlays. Open coil 498T and 490R pickups, special Black Trivalent hardware and black plastic parts. The top was painted black and the back has the walnut filler but transparent black finish with widow treatment. It even has a black graphtech nut, single-ply pickguard and output jack as opposed to the regular specs to make it even more Black! Sounds very technical but the result is just amazing. We couldn’t wait to open the case! Oh, and by the way, it sounds as good as it looks, really!
