2014 Gibson Custom Shop ES-225 TD Reissue in Sunburst finish – kind of a rare bird, this model was only produced for a short period between 2014 and 2016 in Memphis during a time when Memphis really was on the top level with their own historic line. They did extensive research to create original guitars analyzing the vintage originals and the outcome was extremely nice. This is a wonderful example of the 225 reissue, a classic 50s Gibson ES guitar that was replaced by the famous ES-330. Same construction, completely hollow with dural P90 pickups and Florentine cutaway and the Les Paul trapeze tailpiece which works super well on these guitars because the strings go over the tailpiece and not underneath like on the first Les Pauls. The bridge pickup volume pot was changed and the case is not original. This guitar just looks exactly like the original!!!
