This guitar is part of a relatively unknown run Gibson Custom did in 2010 – the “Year of 1955 Innovation” – well you always have to come up with something new. The 55 run contained some interesting models, “Conversions”, “Refins” and also this super cool Custom! It’s basically a 1955 staple pickup Les Paul that “has been converted to humbuckers”. So whats the difference to a 57 Custom? The neck! This neck is something we have never ever seen on any other Custom Shop guitar before. Its kind of a V-ish shape, no shoulders at all. Really nice! Otherwise its identical to a 57 reissue with one piece mahogany body, mahogany neck and long tenon and a set of Burstbuckers. Its super lieghtweight for a Custom with only 3820g. It has some light scratches but overall its almost like new. No fret wear. Comes incl. original case and all papers.
