Around 2007/2008 Gibson released some super nice special models within the “Inspired By” series like the Slash No#1 Standard and also this – the late John Sykes Les Paul Custom. John Sykes first picked up a guitar at 14, and picked up the guitar at 21. Throughout an amazing career. John’s beloved 1978 Les Paul Custom has been his main guitar. From his early years with British rockers Tygers of Pan Ting, to the wild ’80s ride of Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy, John has sold millions of records and amazed guitar fans everywhere with his combination of intensely melodic solos and hard-rocking accompaniment. Gibson saluted John on his incredible musical accomplishments, and reproduced his prized Les Paul Custom. This guitar has been played! There is belt buckle wear on the back which really looks cool and shows it was used for its actual purpose! Come sincl. original case, case candy and COA.
