1994 D Aquisto Advance – Blue Guitar – Chinery Collection

The legendary Blue D’Aquisto Advance – the only one in existence. This guitar was a major part of the “Guitar Heroes” exhibition in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 2011. One of the last guitars created by Jimmy D’Aquisto before he passed away in 1995. It was built for famous collector, the late Scott Chinery and it‘s featured in his book. It’s a unique design based on the Solo model shape like the Blue Centura Deluxe but with modernistic features: Scott requested “Look into a crystal ball and shoe me what an archtop guitar is going to be like in a hundred years from now” It features an adjustable tailpiece and two wooden baffles for each soundhole to create tonal variations. This guitar is a true piece of musical instruments history, made by one of the most respected master luthiers of the 20th century for one of the world’s major guitar collectors. There is no other guitar like the D’Aquisto Advance.
