Rare 1990 Gibson Les Paul Standard Custom Shop Edition in excellent condition. It's part of a limited run made for the US retail chain Sam Ash before the Custom & Historic Division started in 1993. The guitar features a stunning flamed maple top with a pronounced 50-style carve, beautiful Cherry Sunburst color, Pat.No. ABR-bridge and two factory Zebra Pat.Stamp. humbuckers. It's also very lightweight, especially for this period, with only 4,07kg. The bridge pickup is super hot with over 12K and the neck pickup is warm and soft with 6.7K. The bridge pickup frame has a crack and the front pickup frame is lighter in color so assumably it was replaced.This guitar is a perfect example of what quality Gibson was able to built even before the historic reissues have been made – an amazing instrument! Comes in later black Gibson Custom case.
