1979 Gibson "The Les Paul" - Natural
Super rare 1979 The Les Paul model in near mint condition. Only less than 80 pieces of this luxury Les Paul model have been produced between 1975 - 1979. This is one of 59 Natural colored versions. It is the most comlex built Les Paul model in history, featuring a mahogany core with laminated highly figured Austrian back and sides and a full solid maple top and neck. Almost every part on the guitar is made of wood, such as the pickguard, special pickup mounting rings with 3 height adjusting screws (the two Patent number stamped "Super Humbucker" pickups have extra legs), the binding, backplates and the knobs and switchtip. The fingerboard has a rosewood center and ebony sides. The guitar is truely a masterpiece and highly collectible - when the regular Les Paul Custom had a price tag of $739 in the late 70s, "The Les Paul" sold for around $3000 (a huge amount back then). It comes including original brown hardshell case and original warranty card filled out by the original owner.
