1979 Gibson Les Paul 2550 Anniversary – Sunburst

The Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary models are amongst the coolest guitars Gibson did in the late 70s. Great attention to detail, very nice looking wood and finishes… the top-of-the-line of this era. This run was made to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Les Paul model and 50 years of Les Pauls career. The mix of chrome and gold parts symbolizes the silver/gold anniversary – pretty cool. The guitar has a factory TP6 tailpiece and coil-split. This example has been over-sprayed with a light clear coat the body and the back of the neck – but it’s done very professional and a long time ago (already glows under UV light). You can barely tell, actually only by a darker spot on the back, likely some wear that someone wanted to cover. Other than that it is completely original with two original “Tarback” humbuckers and original electronics with untouched solder. Comes incl. original case.
