1977 Gibson Les Paul Special 55-77 – TV Yellow

Gibsons first reissue of the 1955 Les Paul Special in rare TY Yellow finish. This guitar really looks like the famous TV models from the 50s – actually a better Yellow than the recebnt Custom Shop models! It has some very minor playwear but over all it’s super clean. The “Les Paul 55-77” is the second version of the Special reissue with a seperate bridge and stoptail-piece – great for intonation and playability. The original frets are kind of low and a refret would need to be considered in near future. Its been converted to Grovers in the past but the original tuners are back on. The two soapbar pickups have been unsoldered at some point but are original clear bobbin P90s. Great feeling C-neck profile… it’s a just great looking and resonant guitar –  an awesome player! Incl. original Gibson case.
