1969 Gibson SG Custom - White

1969 Gibson SG Custom in White, great player but has some issues: the instrument has been refinished long time ago, propably because of an headstock damage. The finish is old and allready blacklights like a factory paint. The backside of the headstock has several cracks, which appear to be in the finish only, the headstock is solid and sturdy. The tuners had been changed to Schallers at one time, original Grover Rotomatics are mounted now, which work fine. Furthermore, the pickups have been replaced with 3x Gibson Classic ´57 humbuckers, which actually sound great in this guitar. The electronic looks original with two pots dating to 1968 and two to 1965, its an early 69 SG model, propably built in late 1968, as it still has the desired 1-piece mahogany neck, which is not as skinny as most late 60s Gibson necks, with a nice and comfortable medium C-shape, the original frets still have plenty of life left. Nice lightweight and very comfortable to play, here is the chance to buy a vintage 50(!) year old Gibson SG for a price, less than a Custom Shop model.  Incl. black hardshell with yellow interieur.
