1968 Fender Telecaster – Sunburst

Early 1968 Fender Telecaster in rare Sunburst finish in excellent condition. Super clean guitar with alder body! Ash was the standard for the Telecaster since its introduction in the early 50s. Only the custom colors were available with alder bodies or guitars like the Telecaster Custom in Sunburst finish. Alder body and rosewood fretboard is a very nice and rare combination for a Telly! This guitar still has the 1967 features This guitar still has 67 features, the 4 digit date codes on neck and body (B809 = 9th week of 1968) in the neck pocket and B807 = 7th week of 1968) on the neck. The neck date is 3JAN68B. Already the F-tuners. Pencil dated grey bottom bridge pickup (February 1968). This is pre-pearloid unside pickguard and still with full cloth wires. Basically a 67 spec Telly finished in 68. Lightweight and resonant guitar – super clean with not much play wear. Comes incl. original manual with matching serial number and bridge plate. Pictures with later case but it will come with an original mid 60s case.
