1966 Fender Jazzmaster
Teal Green Metallic
Art.Nr. FE66JM130462
Super rare custom color Jazzmaster! 1966 Fender Jazzmaster – already with binding but still with the dot inlays. We purchased this guitar from a collection as “Blue Ice Metallic” – however, it appears that the original unfaded color, especially under the tremolo and in the neck pocket looks more like Teal Green Metallic. Since Blue Ice and Teal Green can look close especially when they fade and the clear coat turns yellow it’s not easy to tell. The Werner’s List mention this exact serial number with FEB66 neck as “Teal Green”. In the end it doesn’t matter much since all of these custom colors are amongst the rarest out there. The back of the neck has been oversprayed and there are two small dowels on the back of the neck – hard to say if it came from the factory that way. The dowels like similar to the factory production dowels you find on Musicmaster and Duosonic headstocks. However, it’s there. There is also a small filled hole in the pickguard – but since it’s a Jazzmaster with it’s big electronic cavity nothing was drilled or routed – everything else is original with untouched electronics. All in all a breathtaking cool guitar and it’s just as rare. Comes incl. case.
