1965 Fender Stratocaster - Sunburst

Early 1965 Fender Stratocaster with all pre-CBS features - except for the white guard - and in excellent condition. Besides minor things like a changed tremolo arm, the screws of the backplate and one missing side dot the guitar is all original and super clean. The guitar has been in Germany for a long time, the person we bought it from got it from a German store and owned it since 1990. The electronic is all original with untouched solder joints, the pots read 137.03.65 (3rd week of 1965) and the neck is dated 2JAN65B. It still has the clay dots. The original "grey bottom" singlecoils read 5,61K(N), 6,13K(M) and 5,80K(B). All three are dated 3-19-65 and are the youngest part of the guitar which probably explains the white guard that started in this period. The weight is the typical pre-CBS weight with 3,44kg. Super nice guitar, actually only a few digits and a white pickguard sets it apart from a full-on pre-CBS transition logo model... that's why the 65 small headstock guitars became almsot just as sought after and increased in value! Including original case.
