1965 Fender Stratocaster
Candy Apple Red Lefthand
Art.Nr. FE66STRATCAR-115071
Super rare late 1965 Fender Lefthand Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red finish. This is such a cool one… Clean finish besides a touch up on the top and a filled hole from a right handed strap pin on the lower horn and the typical vertical custom color weather checking. Lefties are always weirdos at Fender – the were not really set up for lefthanded guitars so the doweled tooling hole on the headstock which would usually be hidden under the tuner is visible – this is a must. The pickups are staggered for lefthanded setup – they are still the 64ish formvar wire grey bottom pickups – pre CBS guys! The neck is special too – it was originally dated as a Jazzmaster neck (4AUG65B) with a big headstock before the Strat even received the big headstock in November 1965! The Fender decal is 100% original and typical for that era, very late 65 and 66 – the golden logo – a very clear logo that did not oxidize. There is no doubt this is all factory – really cool. Otherwise its also in original condition, original electronics and parts. A rare opportunity for a nice custom color leftie! Comes incl. original case, starp, polish cloth and bridge cover!
