1965 Fender Stratocaster
Black
Art.Nr. FE65STRAT112527
What a guitar! This is a killer Strat in one of the rarest (and coolest) custom colors: Black. Extremely clean in excellent+ condition. The guitar originally was born as an early 65 model, still with the green guard and even clay dots (!) – he neck is dated January 1965. However – it otherwise features late 65/early 66 parts! The pots are dated 65.32 (32nd week of 1965), all three pickups are dated January 1966 and the logo decal is also a late 65/early 66 version. The serial number plate also matches the neck decal being a late 65/early 66 serial number. It appears the guitar must have been sent back to the factory when it was still new, maybe from a dealer and was outfitted with the period correct electronics. The neck must have been finished in late 65/early 66 of course. The color is 100% original, together with the greenish pre-CBS pickguard, dark rosewood neck with clay dots and the mall headstock makes it look as stunning as it gets. This is a pre-CBS Strat completed (again) in January 1966 – one year after in originally left the factory. It’s been in Germany for a long long time, there is plenty of stuff in the case. When we bought it the neck pickup had a weird rotary switch but luckily the original pot came with the guitar and our luthier installed it back – so it’s in original condition and only has a few touched solder points thats it! It even comes with matching manual and strap.
