1964 Gibson ES-345 TDSV – Sunburst

From its original owner in Denmark: 1964 Gibson ES-345 TDSV in Sunburst finish. Th guitar is all original besides its been refretted and there was a tremolo or other tailpiece installed once and only for a short time – leaving a few holes on the bottom but not on the top. There is no visible shadow of anything visible in UV light so very likely somebody luckily ghave up to try to install whatever it was. Other than that its like it left the factory: All parts are original, the two post-PAF/PAF-spec humbuckers never had the covers off, Varitone is in place. Original ABR-1 bridge and short seam lightweight stoptail. Single line, single ring tuners – correct for guitars with gold hardware. Original finish, faded Sunburst and a lot of weatherchecking, especially on the back of the neck. The neck profile is typical for 1964 full and round – just perfect. The serial number falls in a number circle that was used either 1964 and 1965 but due to the neck pickup tone pot (all others have pot cans) is dated 20th week of 1964, the guitar has the 50s style trussrod cover and a wide nut width its clearly a 1964 model. The guitar is super loud unplugged and when you plug it in it just sings! Comes incl. new case.
