1961 Gibson SG Custom - Black Refin

This is a KILLER player! It started it's life in 1961 as an early 1961 Gibson SG Custom. We got this one from the US - refinished in a natural color and our master luthier Mathias Schindehuette did his magic: we decided to fill the middle pickup route to make it more convenient fpr the players and paint it black with some mild aging (natural weather checking!). The guitar had a minor repaired heel crack but otherwise it was in great shape. The tuners are original nickel 60s Grovers but the rest is new: a set of our beloved Throbak SLE-101 pickups and Crazyparts hardware/plastics. CTS pots and bumblebee repros. Mathias refretted the guitar with our favorite Gibson style fret wire: Jescar 51100. It's super lightweight with only 2880g and plays and sounds just amazing! Super resonant and loud, the pickups sound just as good as PAFs. Great chance to own a vintage sounding SG for Custom Shop price! Come sin new case.
