1961 Fender Stratocaster Olympic White Refin

We purchased this 1961 Strat a couple of years ago from the original owner. It was finished in Pearl White and had a rough routing for humbucker under the pickguard. He had it refinished decades ago and told us he recently had the back of the neck oversprayed with clear coat since the lacquer was all off…well. Besides the neck plate nothing was original but we got the original wood – 1961 pre CBS – slabboard neck Stratocaster wood. We had it painted Olympic White and bought all new Fender parts for the guitar – no boutique stuff, plain and simple Fender Pure Vintage parts. A fully equipped Fender pickguard with 57/62 pickups and a vintage tremolo, output jack, tuners… so what we have here is a new guitar with old wood or a vintage 1961 Stratocaster with new parts. The neck feels great, it’s dated 12/61 – full-on slabboard era, it sounds really really good – will beat any new CS guitar in a second – and is looking for a new life. Comes in new case.
