1959 Fender Stratocaster - Sunburst ...super rare early Slabboard
This is nothing less than one of the first Fender Stratocaster guitars with a rosewood fingerboard and the then new "Greenguard" in existence! A mid 1959 Fender Stratocaster in excellent condition. It still has the 50s body with the 54-59 "White-guard routing" missing the small edge for the additional screw but it already has a "Greenguard" with only 9 screw holes instead of 11. The guitar is in incredible clean condition, the hardware basically looks like new. the case also is in amazing condition, usually the tweed cases are almost falling apart but this one looks also pretty clean. Tweed case? Yes! It even still comes in the 59 Tweed case with yellow plush! The guitar is pretty lightweight with only 3,23kg, the body date is 5/59 and being a 59 it of course doesn't have a neck date. This is a true collector's item and a rare piece of guitar history!
