1954 Gretsch 6129 Silver Jet – Silver Sparkle (one of the first 10 ever made!)

Super early Gretsch Silver Jet in Silver Sparkle finish made in 1954. This guitar is one of the first 6129 ever produced with pots dated 1953. It still has the missing first fret inlay and bakelite Melita bridge body – super rare! According to Edward Ball (the author or “Ball’s Manual of Gretsch Guitars”) very likely even one of the first 10 ever produced, still with the “6128” model name on the cavity label. It’s got typical early Jet big neck profile. Super clean example, bright Silver Sparkle finish that just looks uber-cool. A must-have for any serious Gretsch collector! Comes in it’s original case.
