1954 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail – Sunburst

The First Year!
This is a stunning September 1954 hardtail Stratocaster featuring a one-piece ash body and a wonderfully full neck profile. It showcases the classic “production model” specs, including bakelite plastic parts (note: the bridge pickup cover is a later replacement). The neck is dated TG 9-54.

The neck and bridge pickups have been professionally rewound, while the middle pickup remains original. Some solder joints have been touched up, but all electronics are original.

The original finish highlights the beautifully tight ash grain of the lightweight, resonant body.

Includes its original tweed center-pocket case.
