1954 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail
Sunburst
Art.Nr. FE54STRAT1100
The First Year! This is a stunning September 1954 Hardtail Stratocaster featuring a one-piece ash body and a wonderfully full neck profile. One of less than 50(!) Hardtail Strats built in the first year. Many of them are in that 900/1000s serial and production month range. It showcases the classic “first production model” specs, including bakelite plastic parts (note: the bridge pickup cover is a later replacement). The neck is dated TG 9-54. The neck and bridge pickups have been professionally rewound, while the middle pickup remains original. Some solder joints have been touched up, but all electronics are original. The original finish highlights the beautifully tight ash grain of the lightweight, resonant body. This guitar sounds so good! It‘s one of the best Strats we’ve had in a long time!
Includes its original tweed center-pocket case.
