1950 Fender Broadcaster
Blond #0038
Art.Nr. FE50BC-0038
WE are thrilled to offer Fender Broadcaster serial number 0038! This is a beautiful early Fender guitar with some prototypical specifications. Weight on the heavy side (4,2Kg/9lbs 6.33 oz), “alligator skin” finish with some flaking quality like the earliest production models, large neck, high output bridge pickup (10.75k!), low two-digit serial number. The wiring scheme was restored to blend control 30 years ago. The original bridge plate looks as if it was once polished and maybe re-plated. Other than that, it’s 100% original down to the frets. It comes with the original thermometer case and bridge cover. Broadcasters are almost impossible to find nowadays but this is even more rare. What are the chances of finding a well-documented original early Broadcaster with a two-digit serial number under 0040? Well documented, historical example, featured in both the Blackguard book (2005) and The Pinecaster book (2021). In fact it comes with both copies of both books with matching serial number 0038. A wonderful piece of guitar history. Including it’s original case and ashtray.
