Custom ordered 1957 Goldtop Reissue with mahogany instead of maple top. Yes they existed and we’re not aware of any reissue the Custom Shop did so far: so here you go! This is such a cool guitar. Perfect – really perfect aging, strong thick weather checking and super super lightweight with only 3440g. Wow. It’s got a unique tone, reminds you of a 50s Custom but without that super quick attack and highs of the ebony board. It’s got that typical midrange honk. The light weight really suits this one since it’s not your typical Les Paul. It screams and sings and has a wonderful 59ish neck profile too (not as big as the normal 57 necks)! We need more of these but it will take at least 12 months to get them!
