Of all guitars from the Gibson Custom Shop catalog, the recent ES models are always the most surprising instruments! They have a great consistent quality and are usually amazing sounding guitars that are really the next best thing to a vintage original from the late 50s or 60s. This 1964 model is (you may wait for it to be mentioned already…) the Clapton year guitar. Just like the SG Standard, the 63/64 ES-335 models are often preferred by players since the pickups and construction are basically the same as the PAF humbuckers but the have a bit of a larger neck profile. This is the reissue of the block inlayed 63/64 model in beautiful Cherry finish. And before you ask: the weight is great with only 3500g.
