This is a one-off we ordered as hommage to T-Rex Marc Bolans legendary Les Paul. His famous guitar, that started it’s life as a 50s humbucker Les Paul Standard was heavily modified over time and had a couple of different necks. This guitar would be influenced by the earlier, stripped version of his guitar. The top has a light pinkish hue because we used the pictures of the original one as color sample. Because we love the current version of the Custom Shop 1959 neck we also custom ordered it with that profile and the bigger 59 frets – turned out to be the perfect neck! This is the Murphy Lab version – and definitely one of the best sounding Les Pauls we got from the Custom Shop so far!
