There is flame under the gold! How cool is that. This brand new Gibson Custom Shop 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged for sure started it’s life as a R9 – at least the body – with a massive flamed maple top. It’s very likely that there was some darker spot or knot or something which made Gibson decide to paint it with a solid color. The cool thing is…due to that ultra thin Murphy Lab lacquer the flames are clearly visible under the gold. Very unique looking guitar! besides the cool look it’s a top-of-the-line quality 56 reissue with great tone and comfortable neck! Weight: 4050g
