The 1954 Les Paul model – for some players the perfect Les Paul. Wraptail and P90. Introduced in 1953 the “wraparound” Tailpiece symbolizes the archetype simplicity of tone. The raw but super clear P90 tone with the maximum dynamic range translates directly into the maple top and mahogany body. This is the top-of-the-line version of the Gibson Custom Shop with Heavy Aging done by the Murphy Lab. Ultra thin and hard lacquer, sonic response and dry throaty tone. You can’t buy a better new 54 Les Paul.
