Another masterpiece by our great friend “el maestro de los Blackguards” Nacho Baños. We had many Black- and White Guard Originals over the last decades and always admired Nacho’s work – he probably is the world most respected expert for those magical 50s Fender guitars, well known for his books “The Blackguard Book” and the recent “The Pinecaster Book”.
With an amazing attention to detail he also creates his own versions, replicas of the original design with and tone and feel that you can’t get in modern mass production. A big step above the recent Fender Masterbuilt models with a lot more vintage feel. It takes someone who really knows the old guitars to be able to do this. We’re glad to have our own little run of guitars we spec’d together with Nacho – this one is a perfect recreation o the famous 56/57 Whiteguard with nice V-neck and great color!

Maple neck, 9.5” fret board radius with Medium 95/47 frets, medium Soft V profile, 0,89"/1" depth at 1/12 fret; 1,65"/2,01" width at 1/12 fret

Early 50s Standard style bridge with brass saddles, with serial number 1549 stamped on bridge plate

Aged 1954-56 Blonde nitro lacquer finish on ash body with plenty of weather checking. Neck shows lacquer wear on fingerboard and back

Early 50s style hardware and vintage style early 1950s pickups. Neck pickup reads 7,4k ohms. Bridge pickup reads 7,53k ohms

Electronic configuration includes the powerful humbucking mode in the middle position: neck pickup + both pickups in series + bridge pickups all with tone control

The guitar comes with a white one-ply pickguard which has been aged and cut to early 1950s specs

It comes with a rectangular tweed mid 50s style hard case (not aged)
