2017 Gibson Collectors Choice #46 Aged Prototype #13 “Kathryn Burst”

Rare Gibson Collector’s Choice #46 “Aging Proto #13” of Scott Bradoka’s 1959 Les Paul nicknamed “Kathryn Burst”. This is one of the last CC guitars Gibson did – many people say the CCs are still the best Les Pauls they made. This one is a pre-production reissue Gibson made to get the aging right – which they definitely did – a lot of attention to details here. The guitar really feels special. Great neck – not as big as many Custom Shop necks are, very light guitar and very resonant. And look at that top…it’s highly flamed, really beautiful. The guitar has also all True Historic specs, which makes it one of the top-of-the-line guitars that made it out of 1612 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville. A special Custom Shop Les Paul for sure!
