We sold the original guitar twice here at GuitarPoint – we had Artist Proofs and a dozen of CC28s so far. We’re amongst the most experienced official Gibson Custom dealers world wide. And we must admit: This one is a super nice example! Recreation of one of the most iconic and most recorded Les Paul Standard in history, a 1958 Burst owned and played by Ronnie Montrose and that has been sold through GuitarPoint twice. All tone woods are carefully hand selected to match the look, weight and sound of the original guitar and the surface is hand aged to match every single dent, ding and dong found on the ´58 Burst as it exists today, including a aged, faded sunburst finish and genuine aniline red filler for the back, neck and sides and a set of “Custom Bucker” pickups built to the precise specs of the guitars unique PAFs. The guitar comes with case candy, COA and the brown Gibson hardshell case with pink lining. The former owner painted a small picture on the case. This might be the most lightweight C28 we’ve had: 3850g!
