This is a very special one right here: This is the first replica of the legendary Slash/Perry burst with correct serial number! In 2003 there was a super limited run of only a dozen guitars that were built to match certain original Bursts from the famous “Beauty of the Burst” book. The run was stopped very soon since the owners of the original guitars complained: Gibson used the real serial numbers of the original guitars and put the correct “production 2003” serial numbers in the electronic cavity. This one is a replica of Les Paul serial number “9 0663” – the guitar that became iconic through Joe Perry and Slash – this is the “November Rain” guitar owned by Slash (who later returned it to Joe Perry as birthday present). It’s not the later run the Gibson Custom Shop did in 2013 – it’s a super nice replica with even more attention to detail! It has been aged by Tom Murphy – back then when it was rare and even more special. It’s super authentic with all the scars and wear and sounds incredible! Guitars comes with all the paperwork, a special BOTB certificate by the custom shop included – please don’t mix that up with those “BOTB pageXX” custom order reissues Gibson did since then – this one is the original run with matching serial number and really outstanding tops, aging and color!
