2003 Gibson Les Paul 1959 “Beauty of the Burst” 9 0910 Murphy Aged

Recreation of a 1959 Les Paul owned by Slash! This is a special one – it comes from a major Custom Shop collection in California. In 2003 there was a super limited run of only a dozen guitars that were built to match certain original Bursts from the famous “Beauty of the Burst” book. The run was stopped very soon since the owners of the original guitars complained: Gibson used the real serial numbers of the original guitars and put the correct “production 2003” serial numbers in the electronic cavity. This one is a replica of Les Paul serial number “9 0910”, a beautiful 1959 Les Paul shown on page 72/73 of the BOTB book. This guitar has been aged by Tom Murphy – back then when it was rare and special. It’s super authentic and comes with all the paperwork, a special BOTB certificate by the custom shop included – please don’t mix that up with those “BOTB pageXX” custom order reissues Gibson did since then – this one is the original run with matching serial number and really outstanding tops, aging and color!
