1988 Fender Contemporary Power Jazz Bass Special - Pearl White

Pretty cool 1988 Fender Power Jazz Bass Special - all original besides a changed bridge. Produced only from 85-89, this bass is no longer available and especially the Pearl White models became famous when Duff McKagan from Guns ´n Roses used an early production passive Jazz Bass Special as his main-squeeze for most of his live and studio playing. Interesting combination: Precision-bass body with deep cutaways combined with a slim Jazz-bass neck and PJ-pickup configuration. This bass is the "Power"-version which also features a reverse P-pickup and an active A.T.E. (active-tone-enhancement) circuit which can add some more bottom or some more brilliance to the sound of the bass. Black hardware, lightweight, very versatile and this is the original, (much better than the "Made in Mexico" Duff McKagan-Signature bass Fender launched a few years ago). Incl. aftermarket case.
