1985 Gibsons Heritage Reissue of the 1958 Moderne Korina in rare Ebony finish. According to the “Blue Book of Electric Guitars” the total production of the Gibson Moderne Reissue is around 143 only! Gibson has stated 500 Modernes to be made, but stopped production due to the lack of sales. This instrument is in excellent condition, there is some play wear, especially on the back but overall it’s nice and clean. The original electronic is untouched the two original Gibson “Tim Shaw” humbuckers are stamped 1985 on their backsides. This is one of the last Modernes produced, very likely built in Kalamazoo and finished in the Nashville factory! Big neck, super nice weight (only 3,14Kg!). Including orig. brown Gibson hardshell case with pink lining.
