1982 Gibson ES-335 DOT Reissue – Natural

Beautiful 1982 Gibson ES-335 DOT-Reissue in excellent condition in rare Natural finish. This guitar looks amazing, really 50s like with it’s aged “Antique Natural” finish. Barely any visible play wear, the original frets are still in good shape. The 335 Dot-Reissue debuted in 1982 and was Gibsons attempt to build 335 guitars like in the golden 50s. They returned that year to 1-piece mahogany necks with a medium C-profile and wide fretboard as found on late 50s/early 60s Gibsons, small headstock, the two original Gibson “Tim Shaw” humbuckers have moderate outputs of approx. 7K-Ohm similar to early PAFs and sound great in that guitar! The bridge has been upgraded with a Gibson ABR-1 reissue with brass saddles and it has Kluson Deluxe replacement tuners. The semi-hollow maple body even shows some mild figured top and back. Great sounding and playing guitar for a price lower than a new Gibson Custom Shop 335. Very woody sounding guitar, definitely one of the better post early 60s ES-335s we’ve had so far! Incl. black SKB hardshell case.
