1975 Gibson MK-53 – Natural

Rare and short-lived 1975 Gibson MK-53 acoustic guitar in natural finish. The instrument is in exellent condition for its age, except for a little cosmetic damage on the lower top. The MK-53 guitars had a 16 3/16-inch wide body and were narrower at the waist than a normal dreadnought. Some innovative features offered with the Mark series were a modified fan-pattern bracing style, an asymmetrical bridge, a removable pickguard, and interchangeable saddles. Spruce top and maple body with a medium-sized maple neck and a built-in PU-system. The MK-53 series with their Gibson – “unlike” headstock was very inovative for their time, stille they discondinued them after only 3 years. Incl. black hardshell case w/grey interior.
