1971 Gibson SG Standard - Cherry

1971 Gibson SG Standard with the "Batwing" guard - a true classic! Angus Young used a 1971 SG on „Highway to Hell“ and „Back in Black“. The guitar had a headstock repair - an honest repair without any overspray - which is actually pretty common on SGs but otherwise it's in really nice condition. The pickups are period correct patent sticker humbuckers with slotted base plate screws and have newer covers - the bridge pickup has gold pole piece screws. The tuners never have been changed, it's got the original 1971 pots and the original vibrola tremolo and ABR bridge with nylon saddles. However, due to the headstock repair and likely swapped but period correct pickups it's priced as a player. And it sounds really really good! Comes in original case with yellow plush.
