1969 Gibson ES-150 DC
Cherry (rare!)

Art.Nr. GI69ES150CHY-542596

The first year of the Gibson ES-150 DC and the only year Gibson painted it in Cherry. Only 5% (111 pieces) have been done in that color, the majority came in Walnut or Natural which makes this a very rare example – its the first one we’ve had. The guitar is super clean besides it was converted to Nashville bridge when we got it – our luthier plugged the two insert holes and now a period correct bridge is installed. The ES-150s are some of our favorite Gibsons of this era, basically full thickness ES-335s without the center block, or double cut ES-175s. A set of untouched patent sticker humbuckers are the heart of this guitar, it still has no volute and no “Made in USA” stamp and already a three-piece neck. The former owner had it refretted with big jumbo frets. Comes incl. its original case.
